Renters, all requests must be made through your landlord (the owner of your unit). Laundry Machine Credit Card Readers

Residents are likely aware that the laundry machine credit card readers (and related website  www.checkmywash2.com ) have not been working properly for the past few weeks.    The technicians at Coinmach are currently troubleshooting the matter.  We're told that it is likely a problem with the online system and will be repaired by the end of next week.  In the meantime, please continue to use the MoneyCards to pay for laundry services.   Also, as a reminder -- the Board does not actively monitor the laundry room whiteboard.  Problems with the laundry machines themselves should be reported directly to Coinmach.  If, after next week, there continues to be a problem with the credit card readers, please contact Thos. D. Walsh via email  office@thosdwalsh.com   and cc the Board at  board@thenewplaza.com .   We will post again on the Listserv when the matter is resolved.  Thank you for your patience. 

MEMO: Unit Window Replacement

MEMORANDUM FROM NEW PLAZA BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO: All Unit Owners DATE: October 13, 2015 RE: Unit Window Replacement At the September 30 Board meeting, which followed the Window Replacement Informational Session ( click to see agenda ) led by Rich Carlson of Supreme Windows, the Board voted to proceed as follows: “Non-historic” windows (windows NOT facing 12th St or Mass Ave) Owners may move forward with replacement of non-historic windows at any time on an individual basis. Feel free to reach out to Rich Carlson from Supreme Windows ( RCarl96114@aol.com or 301-322-3450 ) and reference this estimate . Alternatively, owners may seek another vendor of their choice. However, all non-historic windows (whether provided by Supreme Windows or another vendor) MUST meet the following specifications: Bronze exterior; Two panes; No crosshatching. Dear Residents, At its October meeting earlier this month, the Board of Directors adopted a new Key Replacement Policy, which has been added to the "Condo Docs" section of the blog (www.newplaza1115.com), and reprinted in full below for your review. As a reminder, the related  Unit Lockout Procedures can also be found on the "Condo Docs" section of the blog. - New Plaza Board ***** Replacement or Duplicate Key/Key Fob Policy Cost: A duplicate or replacement key (building master key or individual unit key) or Key Fob (“Fob”) is $50.00 payable by cash, check or money order. Duplicate or Replacement Keys/Fobs: Owners have two options to secure a duplicate or replacement key/Fob from Management: Visit Thos. D. Walsh Inc . (TDW) at 3628 12th St. NE Washington, DC 20017 during regular office hours (9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday) and bring payment for your new key/Fob. This option is best for residents who need keys/Fobs immediately. Please be sure to alert Thos. D. Walsh

Reminder: Bulk Trash Pickup Tomorrow at 7am

Friendly reminder that the building wide bulk trash pickup is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 a.m . You may drop off all bulk trash items in the ground-level trash area starting this afternoon up until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow. Because the area is small, and because the regular trash will be picked up this morning, please DO NOT set out your bulk trash items before the afternoon. Please also attempt to place your bulk trash items as close to the perimeter of the trash area as possible. Thanks!

Reminder: October Condo Fees

Please log on to  https://thosdwalsh.appfolio.com/connect/users/sign_in  to check your current condo fees balance. Please remit payment (either by check via mail, or online payment via checking account transfer) to Thos. D. Walsh  no later than the 15th of the month  to avoid late fees and interest charges. The Board has scheduled a building wide bulk trash pickup for  Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 a.m.   You may drop off all bulk trash items in the ground-level trash area  beginning Monday afternoon on October 12th   up until 7:00 a.m. on October 13th.  Because the area is small, and because the regular trash will be picked up on Monday morning,   please DO NOT set out your bulk trash items before Monday afternoon . Please also attempt to place your bulk trash items as close to the perimeter of the trash area as possible. We will send reminder on Monday, October 12. Thanks!
