Lobby Renovation [Nearly] Complete

Dear New Plaza Residents,

Thank you very much for your patience with the lobby renovation/unit door painting project.  Phase 1 of the project is nearly complete.  Within the next six to eight weeks, we will add two benches underneath the mailboxes in order to neaten up package delivery.  

We will also be adding a small basket intended for newspaper/magazine deliveries, which will be kept near the mailboxes.  At this time, newspaper delivery personnel leave the papers outside of the front door and the papers are usually brought into the building by a kind neighbor.  While we can't require the newspaper delivery personnel to use the basket, we would encourage all newspaper delivery recipients to assist your neighbors in keeping the lobby clean and place all newly-delivered newspapers into the basket for pickup.

We have also ordered an additional horizontal light in the first floor stairwell that will be installed shortly.

First floor residents -- you may notice that the lobby renovation project included installing permanent brush mat in front of each unit door.  The purpose of the addition of this brush mat was to replace personal mats, which tend to clutter the lobby.  While the Board is not requiring residents to remove their personal brush mats at this time, you are strongly encouraged to do so.  The lobby is the most visible common space in the building.  Please assist us in maintaining the unified visual aesthetic of the renovation.
