Three important announcements

Dear Owners and Residents,

As the fiscal year winds down, we have a couple of important announcements.

Annual meeting
First, the Annual Meeting for owners will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 beginning at 7pm in Unit 502.  You will receive formal notice in December along with the agenda and proxy forms.

Board of director election
At the Annual Meeting, there will be two (2) director seats on the Board open as two members are completing their terms in January.  This is a great opportunity for new(er) owners to bring new perspectives to our Association.  The Board is made up of 5 directors.  At the first meeting after the Annual Meeting, the directors vote on officer positions - President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  There is one at-large director.  Therefore, you would not be running for a particular office at the Annual Meeting.  The term is two years to ensure that the Board has overlap as directors transition on and off.  Please contact Julia Whitelock, President, at juliawhitelock@gmail.com to include your name on the ballot and/or if you have any questions about being a director or officer.

New property management company
Second, the Board has retained a new management company, Roost.  Roost will take over property management duties on January 1, 2017.  Throughout the month of December, Roost will be working with our current property manager Thos. D. Walsh (TDW) to ensure a smooth transition.  We will provide additional information about the transition, Roost's contact information, and condo fee payments in December.  Until January 1, please continue to make condo fee payments c/o TDW and to contact TDW and copy the Board for any property management related issues.  Transition related issues should be directed to the Board at board@thenewplaza.com.
