Storage Cages Available for Rent

The installation of storage cages in the basement Maintenance Room is complete. Fourteen cages of various sizes are now available for rent on a month-to-month basis.

MONTHLY RENTAL FEES
At its discretion, the Board has fixed the following monthly rental fees, including an upward adjustment for the existing storage rooms:

Small cages (3'x3'x3'; 27 cubic feet) = $8/month
Medium cages (3'x3'x6'; 54 cubic feet) = $16/month
Large cages (3'x4'x6'; 72 cubic feet) = $20/month
Storage rooms (144 useable cubic feet) = $34/month (previously $17/month)

The above rental rates are significantly below the per cubic foot market rate of nearby, traditional storage facilities. The Board can provide comparative price information upon request. Rental fees for all storage spaces are due each month along with condo fees.

ORDER OF ASSIGNMENT
Starting Tuesday, January 6, 2015, storage spaces will be offered (and assigned) to residents in the following order:

1. Owners with storage ROOMS will have the option of switching from a storage room to a storage cage, if desired;
2. Those currently on the storage space waiting list will be offered available spaces in the following order: #101; #704; #505; #305; #503; #204; #602; #604. Those on this list who do not confirm their interest via email by Wednesday, January 7, 2015 will be removed from the list.
3. Residents who email the Board and are added to the above waiting list (no later than January 13).
4. After January 13 and when all waiting list entries are satisfied, any owner who already rents one storage room or cage will be offered the option to rent an additional space.

Note: Tenants (unit renters) who wish to rent a storage space must do so through their unit owner since storage fees are charged as part of monthly condo fees.

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND POLICIES

In order to rent a storage room or cage, residents must sign this Storage Space Agreement, which details the policies related to storage space rental. Owners currently renting storage rooms must sign this agreement to continue renting. Please read this agreement in its entirety.

Of particular note:

• Storage space rental is on a month-to-month basis;
• Monthly rental fees for storage spaces are charged along with monthly condo dues;
• Owners with outstanding condo fees are not eligible to rent storage spaces;
• Owners living in the building have priority over renters;
• All residents living in the building (owners and renters) have priority over owners not currently living in the building;
• The Association maintains the right to terminate the storage space agreement with any owner renting a storage space who subsequently becomes delinquent in paying condo fees (at the owner's expense).
