IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: New Management Company and New Board Officers

Dear New Plaza owners,

I'm writing with two important announcements related to our Association. On August 1, 2013, the Board provided Tilmon Properties a letter of intent to terminate our contract for property management services. As of Septemer 1, 2013, Thos. D. Walsh, a D.C.-based, family-owned company in business for over one hundred years, will provide property management services to the New Plaza Condo Association. Keith Carr and Blake Barber will be the Association's primary points of contact. You will be receiving a mailing from Thos. D. Walsh in the coming weeks with important information about the transition from Tilmon to Thos. D. Walsh. The mailing will also include a request for your updated contact information. The Board requests that you carefully read all documents in the mailing, and please return the requested information to Thos. D. Walsh immediatelyIn the meantime, you may contact the Board at board@thenewplaza.com with any questions about this transition.

Secondly, I'm writing to announce that Dax Stephens recently decided to step down as President of the Condo Board. Dax's role as president became increasingly difficult to balance with his professional responsibilities. On behalf of the Association. I'd like to thank Dax for his years of service on the Board. For his part, Dax has graciously offered the Association his continued assistance.

I will serve as Acting President of the Association until our annual elections in January 2014. At our most recent monthly meeting on July 31, the Board voted unanimously to appoint Julia Whitelock (Unit #704) Acting Secretary of the Board until the January 2014 elections. Former Secretary Laurie Kaufman will assume my role as Co-Vice-President with Becky Keyes, and Laura Stellato will remain Treasurer.

It is my hope that you've all enjoyed the positive changes in the building over the past year, as the Board has worked diligently to address a number of long-outstanding issues. We're proud of the value-added improvements we've made to the building with your support and feedback. Now that we've successfully addressed a number of these outstanding issues, the Board is looking forward to focusing more of our energy and effort on long-term planning for the Association with the support of  Keith and Blake from Thos. D. Walsh. We welcome your feedback during this transition.

Regards,

Adam Beebe (Unit #502)
Acting President, Board of Directors
New Plaza Condo Association
