Front Yard Update & Restrictions

Phase 2 of the front yard project has begun! Yesterday, GreenLOFT installed a new entrance gate on the 12th Street side of the front yard. Starting Monday, June 3rd, GreenLOFT's team will clear the yard area and begin construction of the built-in tables and benches. As the project progresses over the next few weeks and sod, bushes, and other plants are installed, yard use may be further restricted to protect the initially vulnerable vegetation. The Board will provide as much notice as possible regarding yard usage restrictions, but in the interest of ensuring a delay-free project timeline, please do not plan to host any BBQs or gatherings in the front yard during the next few weeks. Final Front Yard Landscape Design

The Board is pleased to share the final front yard landscape plan to be implemented by Green Loft Design. The front yard design includes: A new12th Street entrance to the front yard area (for safety reasons and to minimize wear and tear to the yard area right in front of the building). This entrance will require the use of the Master Blue key for our building; A large concrete paver patio area, on which the grill and custom-built table will sit; A custom built concrete table and bench, with an open fourth side; The addition of numerous new plants to fill in open areas throughout the yard; The addition of decorative bushes along the Mass Ave side to create a shield from the busy street and additional privacy; A small lawn area with a built-in bench; Lighting features for nighttime. The aim is to complete the front yard install by July 4th, though we will provide ongoing project timeline updates as the project progresses.
